Unusual Business As Usual

Today’s activity centers on three theaters. On the theater site just east of it, the final (?) touches are being put on the slope behind the pad upon which the theater will be constructed. One is never sure that a move is a final one in any given area.
Moving to the front of the school building, we see the pipe trench moving right along, literally. In one photo you can see a worker directing an unseen worker in the trench as to the setting of a pipe. In another, you can see how deeply these men get into their work, again literally. The excavator operator is compressing the dirt that has been replaced in the trench, and this operation requires that he move in very far with the sheep foot roller. One is inspired to pray!
Our next site is to the north and the excavation of the retention pond which will be the new wetlands on the campus. We’re looking from the drive along side the school, across the soccer field site to the far edges of the excavation. Observable is the dust that is part and parcel of such work in dry weather—things become parceled in dust!. We do not grow yellow yucca plants on yellow soil—these are parceled. Tomorrow rain.
